Fall Handbuilding Pottery Workshop (4 weeks, Thursday evenings)
Ever wanted to try out pottery to make your very own food-safe dishes, bowls, and cups, only to be stopped in your tracks by the high cost of classes and steep learning curve? In this affordable 4-week workshop, you'll learn core handbuilding techniques and leave with a small collection of pieces you made yourself, from a lump of clay to a finished glazed piece.
All experience levels are welcome. Ages 15+.
What you'll make each week:
Week 1 (Oct 29): Intro to clay: roll slabs and make small dishes using forms (these make perfect gifts!)
Week 2 (Nov 5): Pinch pot method: sculpt bowls, cups, and other shapes
Week 3 (Nov 12): Hand build cylindrical forms… from clay slabs or coils, or both!
Week 4 (Nov 19): Glaze your pieces

When: Thursdays, 6:00–8:30 PM, Oct 29 – Nov 19
Where: Mudberry Pottery Studio, Historic Westminster, CO (near 76th & Sheridan) — exact address sent in your welcome email after registration
Cost: $130 per student, all-inclusive (instruction, materials, tools, and firings [max. six pieces])
Pickup: Finished pieces ready within 2 weeks of the last class
Instructor: Alejandra, six years of ceramics experience
