Fall Handbuilding Pottery Workshop (4 weeks, Wednesday evenings)
Ever wanted to try out pottery to make your very own food-safe dishes, bowls, and cups, only to be stopped in your tracks by the high cost of classes and steep learning curve? In this affordable 4-week workshop, you'll learn core handbuilding techniques and leave with a small collection of pieces you made yourself, from a lump of clay to a finished glazed piece.
All experience levels are welcome. Ages 15+.
What you'll make each week:
Week 1 (Nov 11): Intro to clay: roll slabs and make small dishes using forms (these make perfect gifts!)
Week 2 (Nov 18): Pinch pot method: sculpt bowls, cups, and other shapes
Skip Thanksgiving week
Week 3 (Dec 2): Hand build cylindrical forms… from clay slabs or coils, or both!
Week 4 (Dec 9): Glaze your pieces

When: Wednesdays, 6:00–8:30 PM, Nov 11 – Dec 9 (excluding Thanksgiving week)
Where: Mudberry Pottery Studio, Address: 7767 Stuart St. Westminster, CO
Cost: $130 per student, all-inclusive (instruction, materials, tools, and firings [max. six pieces])
Pickup: Finished pieces ready within 2 weeks of the last class
Instructor: Alejandra, six years of ceramics experience
